Epilepsy Awareness

Epilepsy often wrongly attracts a stigma and for some individuals, can have a significant impact on daily living and social integration. Those caring for people who have epilepsy will be able to assist more fully if they have a better understanding of this medical condition. In addition, caring for someone having a seizure is a traumatic experience and carers often lack confidence in such situations.

The aim of this course is to improve the carer’s knowledge and understanding of Epilepsy and help them develop their confidence in supporting a person with Epilepsy and when they are having a seizure.
